Delgany, Portsea

Delgany was originally a 5 Star hotel on the Mornington Peninsula in a unique private garden environment close to the beach and Portsea village. The Buxton Group was engaged to subdivide the estate by reconfiguring the existing nine titles before the property was sold to Peppers Hotel.

Peppers engaged The Buxton Group to sell the new subdivision and then, on request of the Peppers directors, a development syndicate was formed to redevelop the old Delgany Hotel into a housing and apartment complex designed by McGauran-Soon Architects. When the Peppers Hotel Group was finally sold, The Buxton Group sold out its development interests and continued on soley as the design and construction contractor.

This constituted conversion of the original castle building, 18 apartments, 6 independent houses, 9 town houses, a major underground car park and castle extension. The development received multiple awards of excellence.
